In response to the developments of Typhoon Yagi, GIC has proactively implemented measures to warn and support customers to minimize damage, while quickly resolving compensation, helping customers overcome difficulties. Along with that, Quy Trai Tim GIC launched a fundraising program to build a bridge in Ngoc Chien Commune, Son La Province, supporting people to overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

As a reputable non-life insurance company with over 18 years of operation, GIC has demonstrated its initiative and responsibility towards customers and the community in responding to Storm No. 3 - Yagi.

Grasping the severity of the storm, GIC quickly conveyed information, recommendations and instructions on asset protection via Fanpage and Website, to help customers minimize potential damage.

With the desire to support customers to quickly overcome the consequences of the storm, GIC promptly sent appraisers to the scene, coordinated the appraisal work and guided customers to complete the documents and compensation procedures as soon as they received the notice of loss.

In particular, a case was recorded where a storm caused a tree to be uprooted, falling on a male reporter who was on the way to work, leading to severe multiple injuries to the spine and skull. Realizing that the customer had personal insurance at GIC and was the economic pillar of the family, and urgently needed support to pay for hospital fees, GIC quickly investigated the situation and paid the insurance amount of 51 million VND, helping to share the financial burden for his wife and children.

Regarding assets, GIC also quickly paid more than 20 million VND to a Packaging Company whose factory roof was blown off during the storm, helping to overcome the damage and stabilize production and business activities. Although assessing the damage from Typhoon Yagi with its devastating power is very complicated, GIC still shows a high sense of responsibility, deploying a series of solutions to speed up compensation settlement and promptly support corporate customers.

The Dinh Lanh suspension bridge in Khua Vai village was completely destroyed by the flood and now only a small shape remains. The bridge has a special meaning for 133 households, 595 people; serving the daily travel of the people and the economic zone of over 400 hectares. Receiving timely support from Quy Trai Tim GIC, the commune now has enough funds to start the construction of a new bridge for the people to confidently work and go to school, which is an extremely great source of encouragement for the people to stabilize their lives.”
