2023
In 2023, GIC marked a significant change by opting for technology elements to standardize internal processing protocols, enhance service quality, and enrich customer experiences. Typical projects include: Digitizing workspaces through Base; Implementing a customer relationship CRM system; Streamlining the vehicle compensation assessment process.
2022
This is the first year GIC implements its business strategy 2022 – 2025 with the goal of becoming the Top 10 in Viet Nam.
2021
The year 2021 marks a 15-year milestone of GIC's establishment and development. To mark the development of the brand, GIC launched a new website in 2021 that has a user-friendly interface and more purchasing options in the same year. Simple online shopping. At the same time, GIC continues to expand its network with the establishment of 4 more sales offices across the country.
2020
In 2020, GIC promotes brand promotion and distribution of GIC Easy products through Telesales and Digital channels. At the same time, signed Bancassurance cooperation: Mirae Asset, VFC, Paylater.
2019

GIC generated 1,400 billion VND in total revenue with a staff of nearly 600 employees. It served  2.5 million private and business clients across the country. A collaboration contract was signed with Bolttech and some significant partners like JACSS and Momo to offer a product line for mobile device insurance.

2018

GIC cooperates with ERGO and ERV to launch Global Safe International Travel Insurance product line. Eximbank, Nam A Bank, HDBank, Easy Credit, and FCCOM signed agreements to work together to expand Bancass's distribution network.

2017
GIC Easy, a line of practical insurance products was introduced. It promoted retail activity through more than 10 Bank and Agent partners. Mcredit, Smartnet, and Doctor Dong are signing on to cooperate.
2016

GIC saw a rise in ERGO's percentage to 43%. VPBank, MSB, and TPBank formed an agreement.

2015

GIC implemeted the project of the organizational restructuring, laying the groundwork for the introduction of fresh, strategic business orientations. It reached 1 million business and individual clients. Signing cooperation: Home Credit and OCB.

2014
On July 28, the Global Insurance Corporation was reorganized.
2013

The ERGO stake was raised to 35%.

2012

GIC ranked eighth among non-life insurance providers in Vietnam.

2011

The ERGO Group's investment in GIC enabled GIC to establish a position in the non-life insurance market, enhancing its knowledge and capacity to serve customers.

2010

It saw ERGO, one of the biggest insurance organizations in Germany and Europe with more than a century of experience, invested in GIC. Marking an important milestone, adding more resources to help GIC realize its goal of becoming TOP in the field of non-life insurance in Vietnam. Charter capital to 400 billion.

2009

GIC earned 262 billion VND in revenue. Including 15 member businesses nationwide.

2008

EVN made a contribution and joined GIC as a strategic stakeholder. 300 billion VND was the charter capital.

2007

The Global Insurance Corporation (GIC) made its public debut in Hanoi on July 26. GIC planed to generate $300 billion in revenue by the end of 2007. GIC was one of four companies implementing Aviation Insurance in Vietnam.

2006

Global Insurance Company (GIC) was founded on June 19th, 2006. Ho Chi Minh City was home to the corporate headquarters with charter capital: 80 billion VND.
